Persian voiceover guide
Persian is written right to left in an extended Arabic script, and everyday text leaves out short vowels and usually the ezafe, the linking “-e” that joins a noun to the word after it, as in کتاب من (my book). Persian voiceovers are used for YouTube explainers, podcasts, online courses, audiobooks and news-style updates.
Persian is spoken as Farsi in Iran and as Dari in Afghanistan, and the two differ in vocabulary and vowels: in Dari, شیر is “shīr” (milk) but “shēr” (lion), while Iranian Persian says “shir” for both. Written Persian is also more formal than speech, so میروم (I go) is read “miravam” but said “miram” in everyday Tehran speech. Preview a voice on your own script to check that its accent and register suit your audience.
باران که بند آمد، بوی خاک نمخورده در کوچه پیچید.
When the rain stopped, the smell of damp earth drifted through the alley.
Listen for: Listen for the unwritten ezafe after خاک, “khāk-e nam-khorde”, which links the noun to its adjective, and for a short pause at the comma.
آیا تا به حال این کتاب را خواندهاید؟
Have you ever read this book?
Listen for: Check that خواندهاید is read “khānde-id”: in Persian, the و after خ in words like خواندن and خواب is silent.
به گلها صبح زود آب بدهید تا در گرما پژمرده نشوند.
Water the flowers early in the morning so they don't wilt in the heat.
Listen for: Check that گلها is read “golhā” (flowers): written without short vowels, گل could also be read “gel”, meaning mud, and context is the only clue.

Persian text to speech
Farsi is the name used in Iran and Dari the name used in Afghanistan for varieties of Persian, and both are written in the same script. Vocabulary and pronunciation differ, for example ماشین in Iran and موتر in Afghanistan for “car”, so write your script for one audience and preview it before choosing a voice.
Persian is normally written without short-vowel marks, and the ezafe usually shows only after a vowel, as in صدای باران (the sound of rain). Write your script that way and preview it; if a phrase loses its linking “-e” or a word gets the wrong vowel, try adding a kasra to that word, or save a custom pronunciation in Listnr Studio.
Make sure the text uses the Persian letters ی and ک rather than the Arabic ي and ك, which some keyboards and older files produce, and that prefixes and suffixes are joined with a half-space, as in میخواهم and کتابها. Then preview a short passage before generating the full voiceover.
Text to Speech converts written text into spoken audio. Listnr uses neural models to read punctuation, context, and pacing so the result sounds closer to a finished production take than a robotic readout.
Paste a script in Listnr Studio, choose a voice, optionally add style or pause cues, then generate. The model analyzes the text and produces natural-sounding speech you can preview and export.
