Spanish text to speech: pick Spain or Latin America before you pick a voice
Spanish spelling is close to pronunciation, and a written accent shows the stressed syllable wherever the usual stress rules do not apply, so a missing accent can turn one word into another. Spanish voiceovers are used for YouTube channels, e-learning, phone menus, ads and audiobooks aimed at Spain, Latin America and the United States.
Spain and Latin America differ in pronunciation, such as the “th” sound for z and soft c in most of Spain, and in grammar, such as vosotros versus ustedes. Rioplatense Spanish from Argentina and Uruguay uses vos instead of tú and a “sh”-like sound for ll and y, while content for several Latin American countries often uses neutral wording without local slang.
